Consultations are a great opportunity for you to get to know our dentist and clinic. Our dentist can discuss the different procedures offered and how they might benefit you. You can use this initial meeting to ask any questions you have about our dentist's qualifications or your own oral health concerns.
New Patient Paperwork
If you initial consultation goes well, our staff can schedule an appointment for your first exam and teeth cleaning. We ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete your new patient paperwork. These forms request information like your name, address, and age, as well as your medical and dental history, and dental insurance information. If you prefer, you can download these forms at the following link and complete them on your own time. Just remember to bring them with you to your appointment.
After reviewing your new patient paperwork, paying particular attention to your medical and dental history, our dentist will conduct a comprehensive exam of your teeth, gums and mouth. This exam allows the dentist to evaluate your oral health and look for signs of trouble. Folllowing the exam, a thorough teeth cleaning is done to remove plaque and tartar buildup, as well as any debris that might interfere with x-rays.
When your exam and cleaning are finished, our dentist will take x-rays of your mouth to get a clearer picture of your teeth and jaw. These images allow our dentist to detect and diagnose cavities and other complications that aren't visible during a physical exam. At Pusch Peak Family Dental, we use digital x-rays, which are faster and safer than traditional films.
After taking your x-rays and studying them closely, our dentist will discuss the findings wiht you. If any issues were found, like gum disease or cavities, you may require additional treatments, which our dentist will review with you. When you and the dentist have decided on a course of treatment, our staff will outline the total costs of the procedure and discuss your payment options.
If additional treatments are required, our staff will schedule a follow-up visit in the coming weeks. If no additional procedures are needed, we'll schedule your next cleaning and exam six months from now to ensure your teeth and gums remain in good health.
Our dentist recommends visiting our office in Oro Valley, Arizona, at least twice per year, or every six months. This is the best way to prevent cavities, gum disease and other serious oral health complications. Call our office at 520-229-1444 to schedule your initial consultation today.
